Itinerary Details Day by Day

Day 1 Lhasa Arrival
Welcome to Tibet! Your local guide will meet you in Gonggar airport and will escort you to Lhasa. On the 1-hour high-way drive, you'll enjoy the heart-stopping views along the Yarlong Tsangpo River.
After arrival at your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the local area and acclimatize yourself to this high altitude city at the top of the world.
Day 2 Potala Palace / Jokhang Temple/ Barkhor Street ( B )
In the morning, explore the famous Potala Palace, experience its audience halls, the jeweled and golden burial chortens (stupa tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, and Thang-kas, a unique Tibetan painting etc.
In the afternoon, visit the holiest temple in Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, and its famous Barkor Street, where you can buy or appreciate traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thang-kas, and tradition Tibetan clothes etc.
Potala Palace
Day 3 Sera Monastery/ Drepung Monastery ( B )
Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery.
Drepung Monastery was once home of 10,000 monks and Ganden Podrang in Drepung is famous as the government’s centre during the fifth Dalai Lama.
In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa’s disciple Jamchen Choeje.

Day 4 Lhasa Departure ( B )
